Last years harvest was super late but this year seems more like the norm. Seems like all the fruit suffered last year with that late frost. We didn't even have the bushels of Asian pears to give away like usual.
Mark checked the brix on the Pinot noir this morning and it is averaging out to about 18. That seems about right for this time in September. The sugars will continue to rise with the warm days ahead. Weather person predicted a few nineties later in the week. The grapes will love that. The pictures you see above were taken on my morning walk with the pups. |
